This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a skilled and passionate Vehicle Technician or Engineer to join Techniques, a renowned Morgan Service Dealer and TVR specialist, where craftsmanship and engineering excellence come first. We are a family-run business dedicated to the maintenance, restoration, and servicing of hand-built British sports cars. From iconicash-framed Morgan roadsters to legendary TVR performance models, every vehicle that passes through our workshop is treated with the highest levels of care and precision.

We’re seeking an experienced technician to lead our small, highly skilled workshop team as Workshop Foreman. In this role, you’ll work hands-on with some of the most distinctive sports cars on the road while helping to set standards, guide junior team members, and deliver the exceptional service our customers have come to expect.

What You’ll Do:

  • Carry out specialist maintenance, repairs, and diagnostic work on Morgan, TVR, and other classic and performance sports cars.
  • Lead our workshop team, ensuring jobs are completed to the highest craftsmanship standards and within agreed timescales.
  • Work with traditional and modern automotive engineering methods, from ash-frames and handcrafted bodywork to BMW- and Rover-powered drivetrains.
  • Maintain a tidy, well-equipped workshop environment and uphold a strong health and safety culture.
  • Support restoration projects and race car preparation work, including paid track and race support days.

About You:

We’re looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their craft and thrives on delivering precision workmanship.

You’ll be:

  • A qualified Vehicle Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) with a proven track record in servicing, diagnostics, and repair.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about classic, hand-built, or performance cars.
  • A natural problem-solver with a methodical approach to complex diagnostics.
  • Confident working independently and leading a small team of technicians.
  • A strong communicator with excellent attention to detail.
  • Fully tooled, with a full UK driving licence.

Experience with BMW engines, classic sports cars, or prestige marques would be an advantage, but Morgan or TVR-specific training will be provided.

Why Join Techniques?

At Techniques, no two days are the same. You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Work with iconic British sports cars that combine heritage craftsmanship with modern engineering.
  • Be part of a tight-knit, passionate team in a well-respected, family-run business.
  • Gain specialist training from Morgan and TVR experts.
  • Enjoy a competitive salary with overtime opportunities, plus paid race support days.
  • Take pride in delivering a truly bespoke service to customers who love their cars as much as we do.

If you’re ready to take your career to the next level and want to work with some of the most beautifully engineered and hand-built cars in the world, we’d love to hear from you.
