Racing Update

The last race of the season was at Snetterton on the 10th October, with 35 Morgans on the grid and the final points for the 2015 season have now been calculated. Congratulations to Philip Goddard for finishing 3rd in Class A, Steve McDonald for finishing 3rd in Class C and to Paul Bryan for finishing 2nd in Class D.

The 'Team Tigers' consisting of Peter Cole, Kathy Sherry, Sharlie Goddard, Steve McDonald and Brian Gateson, all in their Techniques prepared Morgans, took a class win in the 4-hour relay race on the Sunday of the MGCC meeting at Snetterton.

2015 Techniques Speed Championship


The 'Grand Finale' of the SpeedMog was held on the 5th October Prescot, with 14 Morgans taking part in the Hill Climb. This has been a very competitive year with the final rankings not decided until this last event.

Congratulations to the 2015 overall Champion, Simon Baines with his Roadster Lightweight. 2nd place overall went to Clive Hall and last year's winner Chris Bailey took 3rd.

Historic Racing


Simon King was on show at the famous Goodwood Rivival, competing in the Fordwater Trophy with his 1937 Morgan 4-4 series I Le Mans Recreation. With Simon and his 4-4 being the only Morgan invited to this world famous event, he was flying the Morgan flag, with Techniques on hand at the circuit providing race support.

Techniques have also beem present at the Spa 6-hour, as well as offering support to Adrian van der Kroft and his Morgan +8 Moss Box in the British Race Festival at Zandvoort, where he took a 3rd and 2nd in Class against a large grid consisting of GT40s and Porsche 911s fitted with modern day slicks.

2015 Techniques Cup


This season's Morgan Sports Car Club event was at Brands Hatch on Monday 31 August. It included the fifth 'Techniques Cup', a race for 4 Cylinder Morgans, awarded 'on handicap' in the AR Motorsport Trophy race.

Congratulations to Greg Parnell for winning the 2015 Techniques Cup with the Morgan Motor Company's Morgan +4 SuperSport.
