1961 Green Morgan +4 Race Car - Â£49,950

Car is all alloy with a full 2.2 ltr race engine, just rebuilt by Chris Conoley with only dyno miles giving 186 Bhp. New 3.7 BTR axle and new propshaft. Steering column and box have been rebuilt. Weber carburettor has been rebuilt. Drop arm and hubs renewed 7-8 years ago. Gauges also rebuilt. New loom. Chassis replaced 10 years ago.

Purchased in 1961 by Adam Bridgeland, original reg. 4KYD and sprinted and hill climbed by him. Vehicle was purchased 35-40 years ago as road car and then rebuilt.

Started racing in 1985, mostly in the Morgan Challenge and started developing car for racing only. It has raced various times at Spa, Zandvoort and most British circuits. Very successful 4-cylinder car in Morgan Challenge racing with numerous race and Championship class wins, including the 4-cylinder Cup and Chairman’s Cup.

Morgan Signal Red.

Modified Rover V8 5ltr engine. Stage 3 heads, fast road cam, balanced engine, DTA engine management system, fuel injection system running on throttle bodies. 315 bhp and 345 ft/lbs of torque.

2 owners from new. Present owner for the last 16 years. Extremely quick +8. Fast road and track day car. Very tractable on the road. Huge vehicle history on file. Wax-oiled to underside of car, including inside of box sections of chassis every year whilst in my ownership. Original seat, bumpers available. Double duck hood, tonneau and side screens. Rutherford hardtop sprayed to match colour of car.

4 Pot calliper brakes on front. Negative camber suspension, adjustable shock absorbers. Oil cooler, up-rated clutch, racing drivers bucket seat, seat harnesses for driver and passenger. Adjustable shock absorbers to rear suspension, back axle fitted with anti tramp bars. Roll over bar. New set of Kuhmo List 1b tyres.

Vehicle never involved in any road accidents.
