Techniques undertakes service and maintenance work on all Morgan models. This can range from a routine service to a full mechanical overhaul.
Morgans benefit from regular servicing to maximise your enjoyment and to minimise future repair costs. The traditional cars require a lubrication service every 3000 miles and a full service every 6000 miles or at least each year whichever is the sooner.
Wear in the sliding pillar front suspension can be minimised by regular greasing and oiling. However, in our experience, kingpins need replacing about every 15,000 to 20,000 miles.
The Morgan Aero range, of course, dispenses with sliding pillar suspension yet a lubrication service is still recommended every 5,000 miles and a full service every 10,000 miles or once per year, again whichever is the soonest.
Our experienced and qualified technicians armed with our diagnostic equipment, are able to efficiently complete an annual service according to the requirements of the Morgan Motor Company.
We can often complete an annual service while you wait, or if more work is required provide you with a loan car or a lift to one of two main line stations. We can also collect and return your car if you are unable to travel to our workshops.
Brake Light Switch Conversion
There is now a conversion kit available for earlier Morgans using the hydraulic brake light switch to one now currently being used on all Morgan models, which operates ‘mechanically’ by the brake pedal itself.
The kit is very easily fitted and can be carried out during a routine service work for a small modest charge. Alternatively should you wish to convert your Morgan asap, please contact our service department to make an appointment.
Wheel Refurbishment
We offer a refurbishment service for all Morgan wheels including the Magnesium ones as fitted to the Aero 8, which will make your wheels look new again.
One working week is required to carry out the necessary work, where we will strip off the tyres, refurbish the wheels, refit and balance.
