Morgan GuideFor prospective owners of Morgan 4 wheeled cars we have put together this short guide. The models are covered in more depth in a host of Morgan literature and numerous Morgan web sites, some of which we have listed in our Links section. Morgan 4 wheelers have been in continuous production by the Morgan Motor Company since 1936 save for a nine year break due to World War II. The early 4/4s and +4s are commonly known as ‘flat radiator’ cars as they had separate, free mounted, head lights and upright radiators. From 1953, the car’s head lights became fared into the wings and the radiator became hidden behind a curved radiator grill a style that has remained to this day. Morgan have produced a few, very rare, exotic models which we have not covered here as all are well known and documented and are unlikely to come on the open market for sale. These include the Morgan TT Replica, Morgan Le Mans Replica, Morgan +4 Supersports, Morgan +4+, Morgan SLR and Morgan Aeromax. Techniques are fortunate to look after some of these rare cars for their owners so you might just catch a glimpse of an exotic Morgan at our workshop. |
