Morgan Aero 8

The Morgan Aero 8 was the first really new Morgan since 1936. Dispensing with the Morgan hallmarks of a ladder chassis and sliding pillar front suspension, the Aero has a bonded and riveted aluminium tub and unique fully independent front and rear wishbone suspension. It retains an ash frame and is clothed in ‘superform’ aluminium panels.

The Aero 8’s performance is nothing short of astonishing, with a compliant ride and supercar acceleration.

In 2003, Morgan bought out the Aero 8 GTN fitted with an uprated engine, hard top and side exhausts. The limited run of cars were all painted in two tone as a homage to the factory race cars.

In 2004, the Aero 8 received a major update to coincide with its launch in the USA . The unofficially dubbed “Mark II” is more spacious, has more power, has improved hood design, driver and passenger air bags and ‘state of the art’ ABS braking system.
